8 Plug and Play Texting Platforms for Recruiters

Does your ATS have texting built in? It likely doesn’t because most of the vendors are way behind on adopting it.

The integration of texting into recruiting software is finally starting to happen (several have announced this year) but it will be another year or two before the option is a mainstay among the major applicant tracking vendors.

Fortunately there are several third party solutions you can bolt on to help your recruiters begin to communicate with prospects right from their browser as they go about their day to day activities.

Today I’ll highlight 8 texting solutions that any recruiting team can implement quickly. TextUs, Trumpia and TextRequest are marketed as text business solutions that you can place on top of a CRM (like an ATS) while Emissary, Rectxt and TextRecruit started as recruiting only products. But they are great for human resources too.

These platforms lay on top of your ATS or CRM via chrome extensions. And they are very affordable. For example, TextRequest charges $99/month for 2500 texts.

TextUs – bills itself as the “most popular business texting software for professionals”. Features include group broadcasts. Just choose one of your name merged message templates then send your direct, personalized text message to groups of 100 contacts at a time. These conversations will begin “popping up” in TextUs web portal opening the door to dozens of personal, one-to-conversations.

Emissary – Their 1-to-1 texting extends the functionality of Chrome, automatically recognizing phone numbers and allowing you to text them directly from any page on the web. They also feature short codes for mobile/event applying, targeting text ad campaigns and share by text, a feature every job description needs.

Trumpia – Trumpia’s core features start with mass texting, mobile keywords, picture messaging, reminders, landline texting, and many other common popular functions, but they also feature a unique combination of smart targeting, advanced automation, API integration, omnichannel and enterprise capabilities.

TextRequest – Use their Chrome extension to start conversations while you’re surfing the web, and get notifications, wherever you’re browsing. Works great with online CRMs and email service providers. You can also integrate Click-to-Text buttons with your website to convert more mobile viewers into leads and customers.

TextRecruit – Personalize text messages to multiple candidates at once and reach them faster than ever. Automate recruiting tasks. Save recruiters’ time by automating sourcing, screening and scheduling so they can focus on what they do best – evaluate fit and build relationships. They also just announced automated interview scheduling.

Zipwhip – Reach customers faster using Zipwhip’s texting-for-business software and API solutions. Send and receive text messages on your computer using your existing business phone number.

Slicktext -Drive traffic to your business by sending text messages to your customers. Text “DEMO” to 31996 to see how it works.

Rectxt – built for recruiters by recruiters. Features a Chrome Extension, emoji support, group texting, and a local texting number.
