Twitter Recruiting Tips #4

Most recruiters don’t take full advantage of what Twitter can do for them. This blog series will give you basic insight into leveraging twitter in your recruiting department.

Build Your Lists

Once you identify your target candidates it’s time to add them to a LIST. Click the the gears icon and choose “Add or remove from lists…”, then choose Create List. Give it a name, make your list public or private and you are on your way to categorizing your candidates. Do this once per month in order to stay up to date with new users.

Start to follow these users as well. They will be notified that you followed them so it’ll get you on their radar. A portion of the people you follow will reciprocate so it’s a good way to build up your own follower account with people in your region or industry.
