Are Your Jobs on Google? New Tool Launches

With less than 20 percent of Google for Jobs posts coming directly from companies, Jobiak’s utility quickly verifies if job posts appear on Google for Jobs

WOBURN, Mass. – Dec. 4, 2018 – Jobiak, provider of the industry’s first AI-based recruitment marketing platform specifically for Google for Jobs, today announced the launch of Google Job Check, a free utility tool that enables recruiters and talent acquisition teams to instantly determine if their job posts are live on Google for Jobs by simply entering the URL of their job post. To see it in action, visit www.AreMyJobsOnGoogle.com.

Launched in 2017, Google for Jobs matches job seekers with relevant, high-quality job listings. Google for Jobs aggregates job listings from around the web and presents job search results in a simple box at the top of the organic search results. Roughly 150 million searches on Google each month in the U.S. are job-related. However, Jobiak’s research and analysis of more than one million job posts show that less than 20 percent of the jobs posted on Google for Jobs currently come from companies directly.

“Talent acquisition teams and in-house recruiters want their jobs to be found in Google searches, but our research indicates that most are not aware of how Google for Jobs works and many are not sure if their job posts are live on Google for Jobs,” said Venkat Janapareddy, founder and CEO of Jobiak. “This new free utility aims to help recruiters and talent acquisition teams to instantly determine if their jobs are on Google for Jobs, and from what sources. Armed with this knowledge, they can quickly take steps to directly post their jobs and tap into this powerful source of qualified candidates.”

Currently, the process for posting jobs to Google for Jobs requires deep coding expertise and access to the page code for every job post. Jobiak launched its AI-based machine learning platform in October 2018 to make it easier and quicker for HR professionals to directly post jobs to Google for Jobs. Jobiak automatically scans job posts, identifies the attributes that Google requires, and then structures the Google tags – all without touching the underlying code.
