Diversity recruiting is more than just targeting people of color, it also means inclusivity among under represented groups such as disabled persons. A number of job sites have existed that target these workers and employers should certainly look at these online communities to extend their career brand.

AbilityJobs.com – Online since 1995 this site claims to be the largest of the bunch. Their home page says ‘The only employment site where 100% of posted jobs are from employers specifically seeking to hire people with disabilities‘. They also have a searchable resume bank with tens of thousands of job seekers with disabilities, from entry level candidates to PhD.
DisabledPersons.com – launched in 2002, disABLEDperson, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization whose mission is to reduce the high unemployment rate of individuals and veterans with disabilities. 30 day postings are only $50 and the site received over 2,000 visits each day.
Chronically Capable – One of the newer entries into the space, this site specializes in “Flexible jobs” for chronically ill and disabled jobseekers. It was founded by Hannah Olson who herself suffered from Lyme disease and couldn’t find work.
Inclusively – this community just launched recently built by disabled people. Inclusively’s proprietary job matching technology gives candidates with disabilities the power to customize their job search utilizing ‘Success Enablers’ (also known as workplace accommodations).
Examples include assistive technologies (vision and hearing), telework/remote work, worksite accessibility, service/emotional support animals, modified methods, assistive services, modified work schedules, and job restructuring.
Disability Jobexchange – Owned by Circa, this site is a sister site of America’s Job Exchange. America’s Job Exchange began as a private sector initiative to continue the legacy of America’s Job Bank, the pioneering online recruitment site retired by the U.S. Department of Labor in 2007. Today now part of Circa, thousands of companies use our services to power their recruitment advertising and OFCCP compliance initiatives.
DisabilityTalent.org – Job board with over 260,00 job listings. Site published by Disability Solutions, As your consultative recruiting and engagement strategists for the disability community, Disability Solutions fits your inclusion needs to your budget.
