With the recent news that SHRM is starting an initiative to help get more people with criminal histories hired I thought it would be a good idea to highlight some online resources where employers can go to target this type of audience.

Started by a guy named Richard Bronson who was once arrested as part of the infamous ‘Wolf of Wall Street‘ brokerage firm, this site is partnering with on the ground non profits to promote second chance employers.

Founded in 2014, this website is a popular resource on the internet to help former felons get employed again.  It also contains a lot of useful information and tips.  Jobs for Felons was created by a few folks who have personally watched their loved ones struggle to get a job due to having a felony.

Honest Jobs | Link

Honest Jobs also points out the fact you can get tax credits for hiring people who have been incarcerated. By recruiting from this population, your company can earn up to $9,000 back in tax credits per eligible new-hire according to them.
