Women’s struggle to gain equity in science, technology, engineering, and mathematic-based (STEM) subjects and careers is a tale that is decades long. And sadly, we don’t seem to be nearing an end anytime soon. Unsurprisingly, this problem persists across the globe, with women only accounting for 29% of the overall STEM workforce, according to The Institute of Engineering and Technology.
