Under the Radar – Snaprecruit.com gaining loyal client base

Snaprecruit.com is one of those under the radar recruiting tools you’ve probably never heard of but is making solid strides in helping employers recruit online efficiently and without breaking their recruiting budgets. It’s essentially a hybrid ATS/ job distribution play, and after seeing a demo last week, I was impressed with their feature set and growing client base.

I met their founder Vik Motkur at the last TA Tech conference in Chicago and asked him to dig a little deeper into their offering.

Why did you start Snaprecruit.com?

Snaprecruit.com was founded in 2013. Collectively our team has over 30 years of experience in the HR industry and we came together to create a platform so recruiters can work efficiently and effectively. We started adding features that would fill the gaps we saw. Some of them include communication issues and high costs of using multiple job boards for each job. We wanted to create a lean app that works with several other platforms at a very low cost.

How big is the team, where are you based?

We are a team of 15 and are based in Dallas.

What does the product do?

Snaprecruit.com is a job posting platform with unique ATS features for Small businesses and Enterprises. We give companies the ability to boost jobs to numerous leading job boards giving their jobs exposure to millions of applicants.

How are you different from Ziprecruiter?

Ziprecruiter is actually one our esteemed job partners. Why COMPETE when you can COLLABORATE!

Here are some FREE unique features we offer:

– Free Organic traffic from Snaprecruit.com

– Applicant Tracking System (Assign jobs, Work with your team)

– Job Analytic Reports

– Job Compliance Reports

– Live Chat capability with potential applicant leads

– Manage applicant resumes in folders

– Extract email and phone numbers from your resume database

What are the basic costs to use Snaprecruit.com?

Above mentioned features are FREE to use.

The only paid feature we offer at the moment is the JOB BOOST. Once a job is boosted it gets exposure via PPA (Pay per Applicant) or via PPC ( Pay per click) from all our partnered job boards and aggregators.

To get guaranteed applicants, employers can choose to boost jobs starting, as low as $30. In addition, users can SWITCH BOOST to other jobs. So one boost can be shared across several jobs serially. Users can purchase a minimum boost budget ($30 / $50 / $90) which makes it – “You get what you pay for model!”

The employer’s boost budget is programmatically managed by our BOOST BOT which manages their exposure for best results.

What is the most underrated feature of the service in your opinion?

-JOB Analytics (FREE feature) is a pretty unique feature. When employers spend $$ to BOOST a job to different job portals, knowing exactly where your click/lead came supports our claim that their job was pushed to several other job boards. It gives a lot of transparency to the user and shows them exactly what they are paying for…

-Compliance and Analytic reports (FREE feature) – These are very powerful reports that give employers the ability to show the effort they put into recruiting for a job to their End clients, Hiring Managers or to any other Government bodies a company is answerable to ( Example: USCIS, Immigration departments ..)

How many clients use the service today?

We get 50-60 new employer registrations per month to try the free tools we offer. We have recruiters from over 1000 companies using our app.

Job distribution is widely becoming a sought after method for many employers to give their unfilled job openings maximum exposure and Snaprecruit.com is one of the lowest cost tools I’ve seen that do that. They’ll probably have to raise rates at some point in the future to compete with similar services, but for now it sounds like a great value.

The Live Chat function is also intriguing. Being able to chat with the candidate when they are on the job page should be a great time saver for many recruiters. It’s something I have not seen on other recruiting tools like this.

Like any new technology your results may vary. But  seems like it might be worth a try.

PS…They are holding an event called JobCon 2017 in Dallas this August. They’ve given me a 20% off discount code for employers who want to exhibit. Use code: KP2DJ34 at checkout.
