Text Request, an online texting service for businesses, has released a Chrome browser extension to let customers send and receive texts through their current business phone numbers while browsing any web page, including their email, CRM, and other online applications.
It will work on your ATS as long as you have the chrome extension installed. Recruiters can quickly ‘click to text’ that candidate. Pricing starts at $49/month which comes with all the features and 1,000 texts.
Text Request is a software-as-a-service product. Customers sign up to text using their current business numbers, and get an online dashboard to manage texts professionally, which they can login to from any device. Features include a shared dashboard for multiple users, message templates, keywords, permanent records of messages, picture messaging, and more. You can even tag conversations and send group messages.
An API is available and the company tells me they have already done an integration with PCrecruiter. If an ATS is also in the Zapier marketplace you can find them there. Bullhorn is one vendor who has done that already.
Recruiters could potentially use Text Request to request resumes as pictures, schedule interviews and automate a response message through a certain keyword. However It does not conduct conversations like a chatbot. You could even put instructions on a job ad to get job seekers directly to your online application or just start a conversation with them.
“There’s no heavy lifting. It just takes one click to install. You can send and receive texts, get notified of new messages, and still use our other features without ever leaving your CRM, email, ATS, or other tools you use. You can also click on a phone number on any web page to text it from the extension.”
