There are several niche social network platforms that allow recruiters and sourcers to find people other than LinkedIn. One of those is called “Network After Work“. They have a website but they use a third party site/app call Bizaboo to host their data.

Network After Work hosts networking events in 85 cities across the U.S. and they encourage attendees to create a free profile for themselves in the app which is also available via the web. Here’s what the search interface looks like;

You can search by things like Job Title and Company name. I’ve done a few searches and though there are lots of sales people and founders listed there are various other professionals. You won’t find a Javascript Developer but there are some “Software Engineers” listed for example.

Their target market is 5 million business owners and “career-minded professionals”. I have attended a few in CT and NYC and you can meet job seekers in a variety of fields.
