Our team at CareerBlitz wanted to use SourceCon to meet with recruiters, give a couple demos of CareerBlitz’s AI tools, and really learn more about the recruiting space and the people in it. The easiest way to do this? Hack the attendee list and start zoning in on people before the conference even starts!
Here’s what we did:
- Identify internal API calls from Whova (SourceCon’s official conference app) using Charles Proxy
- Create a script to mimic these calls and pull names, detailed info, and LinkedIn URLs for 524 people (Github link to Script)
- Automatically send customized LinkedIn invites for each of the 524 people with PhantomBuster
