Essential Workers – remember those?

The majority of the most common job occupations in the USA are exactly the same jobs which were categorised during the Covid era as ‘essential workers’ After a brief moment when we thought we would ‘build back better’ and treat these most important members of society with great respect and value, we seem to have regressed back to pre-Covid considerations. 30,000,000 people – up to 20% of the US workforce – are employed as truck drivers, delivery drivers, sanitation workers, stock fillers and the like.
