A year-long advocacy effort by ASA and the California Staffing Professionals paid off this week: SB 1032, the California Staffing Agency Fair Enforcement Act, is dead for the year. The bill was held in the Assembly Appropriations Committee yesterday (a procedural step that blocks it from advancing without a floor vote) after already clearing four policy committees and the full Senate floor.
