TA Pro for Hire: Keirsten Greggs

What type of role are you looking to land?

I’m looking for a TA Consulting or senior leadership TA role.

Tell us about your background/career path?

I started as an agency/third party technical recruiter in 2000.  About 10 months in, one of our clients, a government contractor, hired 4 of us to be their in-house/corporate recruiting staff. That was my introduction to recruiting cleared and uncleared professionals globally.  2004-2006 I got a master’s in human resources management to build upon my recruiting and talent acquisition acumen.

I was fortunate enough to work for a large, global organization where there were a multitude of development opportunities. I started to focus more on strategy, special projects, data, and systems and found my way into more of an operations role (before it really had a name). As such, I spent the remainder of my corporate career in a variety of consultative, project related and TA Operations leadership roles. 

In 2017, after another layoff, I branched out on my own and started TRAP Recruiter LLC, where I offer Talent Acquisition consulting services including, but not limited to:  full lifecycle recruiting, sourcing, report generation, recruiter training, recruiting process improvement, recruiting process optimization, recruiting process implementation, recruitment strategy, employee transition assistance and job description creation across industries and career tracks.

Who is your ideal employer?

My ideal employer is one who empowers TA teams and treats them as a value add.

Whats your proudest moment as a recruiter?

It’s almost impossible for me to pick one proudest moment but what my proudest moments have in common is that I was an integral part of helping someone reach a career goal.
