AI in Employment Decisions: What Staffing Firms Operating in Illinois Need to Know

The Illinois Department of Human Rights has proposed amendments to its procedures regulations (56 Ill. Adm. Code 2520) to implement recent statutory changes, particularly those stemming from Public Act 103-804. The amendments focus on two primary areas: (1) extending recordkeeping and procedural requirements tied to discrimination claims and (2) establishing new transparency obligations for employers that use artificial intelligence in employment decisions.
