Nurse.org Redesigns It’s Job Board

BELLEVUE, Wash., Jan. 11, 2017 /PRNewswire/ — Over the past two years, Nurse.org has quickly become one of the best career resources available to professional nurses. Featuring over 46,000 hospital reviews by nurses, the site takes career advancement a step further with its new job board.

This move couldn’t come at a better time. According to the American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN), the US is set to experience a drastic nursing shortage as Baby Boomers age and nursing schools struggle to expand their programs to accommodate the demand for healthcare workers. The US Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) projects over half a million new nursing job openings in the next 5 years alone.

As the largest job board specifically for nurses, Nurse.org now lists thousands of temporary, permanent, full-time, and on-call positions along with a significant number of travel assignments.   With employers currently seeking LPNs, RNs and NPs in a wide range of specialties, the opportunities are vast.

The site also boasts a redesigned Nursing Resource Center featuring career exploration tools, including a nursing specialty quiz as well as in-depth guides for RNs, NPs, and many nursing specialties. The resource center will eventually feature more than 100 specialty guides which provide specific information like salary ranges, job outlooks, and for each career path.

“At Nurse.org, we aim to empower nurses with the tools to be successful in their careers as well as their lives outside of work,” says Phillip Lee, Director of Product Development at Nurse.org. “Nurses in every phase of their lives – students, new graduates, seasoned professionals – should be able to count on us for the latest information and best resources for a healthy work-life balance.”
