Every HR leader has sat in that meeting. You raise a concern about turnover, or a compliance gap, or a broken hiring process. Leadership nods politely. And then the conversation moves on to something that “actually” affects the business.
Here’s the uncomfortable part: the people in that room aren’t ignoring you because HR doesn’t matter. They’re ignoring you because you haven’t given them a reason not to.
