There have been a slew of funding announcements last month as well as other big news shaping the recruitment technology industry. Here’s my roundup.

- Intelliber Technologies Launches Employrr – An End-To-End job search and recruitment platform [link]
- BetterCompany App – When job seekers apply for an opening, it can be hard to get up-to-date interview tips and reliable insights into what it’s really like to work at a firm, especially when reviews on social media or job sites can feature disgruntled former employees or current workers who might only volunteer part of the picture. - Volcanic launches AR app…the Point Jobs app uses state-of-the-art Augmented Reality technology so users can apply for jobs while on the move. The app lets jobseekers pre-load a CV to enable one-click applications on the spot. Point Jobs also allows employers and recruiters to add their roles to the job board for free and drop a pin on a map where the vacancy is being advertised. [link]
- Job Today, a Luxembourg startup with an app that aims to help people find casual jobs quickly and easily, is launching in Germany after investors pumped $35 million (£29 million) into the company. [link]
- Rippling helps start-ups with staff onboarding, providing new employees with laptops, offer letters, tax forms, email accounts, and keycard access, the Journal reported. The start-up could eventually become a “system of record” for employee data. Basic service costs $8 per employee a month, according to the Journal. [link]
- Storyhunter has raised $1.3 million to a global marketplace to match video journalists with news organizations and brands. New York-based startup has created a talent marketplace that is already being used by 20,000 video producers and journalists in 180 countries. The company has now raised $4.2 million to date. [link]
- Jellyvision announced that it has raised a $20 million funding round from Updata. The Chicago tech staple, which provides employee communications solutions to enterprise clients, said it will use the funding to reward longtime employees and investors while fueling its continued growth in the HR SaaS space. - Triplebyte Is a Recruiting Platform That Doesn’t Accept Resumes. Startup wants to make recruiting and technical screening for tech companies more efficient. The screening process happens background-blind, so instead of putting the emphasis on the applicants’ resumes (and the colleges they went to), it emphasizes programming smarts. [link]
- Beekeeper, the Switzerland and U.S.-based startup that provides a mobile-first communications platform for employers that need a better way to communicate with blue-collar and service-oriented workers, has raised a further $8 million in new funding.[link]
- VentureApp Raises $4M for Those Who Are Tired of Getting Spammed on LinkedIn. With $4M in Funding, VentureApp Wants to Be WhatsApp for Your Professional Network: Boston-based VentureApp wants to make business messaging easier, by becoming the online and mobile chat hub for its users’ professional contacts and business needs. - TextRecruit raises 3 million. Getting good early reviews from recruiters and sites like Beyond which resells targeted text campaigns. [link]
- WorkJam is a Montreal-based startup, whose clients include department store chains and Shell gas stations, makes it easier to send an alert to employees on their mobile phones. The software also focuses on scheduling, an integral part of the hourly workforce. Just got 12 million in funding. [link]
- WayUp Raises Another $18.5M to Be a Modern, Mobile First Platform to target entry level recruits. These guys are killing it. Part of a wave of next generation job boards. [link]
- Purple Squirrel Picks Up $2.7M to Making Hunting for the Perfect Candidate Easy. Lets seekers pay for access to company employees. Just announced today the launch of its platform allowing job seekers to level the playing field and gain access to the best companies to work for in the world, returning meritocracy back to the hiring process. - Fairygodboss gets 1 million in new seed funding. Offers a niche a marketplace where professional women looking for jobs, advice, and the inside scoop on companies meet employers who believe in gender equality. [link]
- MomentSnap, engagement tool for hourly workers, raises $2.3M seed round. [link]
