Through AI, automation and interview coaching and guidance, Pillar provides more efficient, effective and equitable hiring practices.
INDIANAPOLIS — October 13, 2021 — Pillar, an interview intelligence platform, is announcing its launch today. The platform leverages AI and in-interview coaching to provide companies with a more reliable way to assess a candidate’s fit for a role during the interview process. Pillar enables teams to hire more equitably while saving time and money.
With the launch, Pillar adopts and expands upon the initial vision and product built by Luma, an AI-based interview tool that launched out of High Alpha earlier this year. Pillar is led by CEO Mark Simpson, Founder and former CEO at Acoustic, a leading marketing cloud that Simpson formed out of IBM after founding Maxymiser, a customer experience optimization platform, which was acquired by Oracle.
“People are the heart of every organization, but the hiring process is time-consuming, expensive, biased and deeply inefficient — and companies are suffering because of it,” said Simpson, CEO of Pillar. “We’re reimagining a process that’s been broken for decades by leveraging AI and automation to hire the best candidates with certainty, saving companies time and money from costly mishires and, ultimately, growing entire organizations in a way that’s efficient and equitable.”
With companies now interviewing more candidates remotely than at any time in history, a shift accelerated by the global pandemic, Pillar is positioned to make these evolving hiring processes more reliable, efficient and effective by adding intelligence to the hiring process. Product features include AI-generated interview highlight clips and recordings, robust and flexible integrations with a variety of major applicant tracking systems and platforms such as Zoom, Microsoft Teams and Google, in-interview coaching and guidance and sharing and collaboration tools for teams.
“We believe Pillar is a secret weapon for talent acquisition teams and companies that truly care about hiring the best people,” said Eric Tobias, partner at High Alpha. “By leveraging Pillar’s technology, there’s an opportunity to change not only how we hire, but the long-term impact will create more diversity, better interviewers and empower future employees to thrive in their new roles.”
Early customers, including video hosting platform Wistia and technical talent marketplace Terminal, use Pillar to hire better candidates with confidence, coach team members to improve and grow in their interviewing skills and promote fair, unbiased interviewing while saving valuable time throughout the hiring process.
“Pillar has been a great partner to complement our hiring process and help to create a more seamless candidate experience,” said Jennifer Farris, chief people officer at Terminal. “We are hiring quality talent in a more streamlined and consistent manner while reducing steps in our interview process, creating an experience for candidates and hiring managers that has dramatically improved time to hire. I recommend Pillar for any organization looking to hire talent remotely and have a high degree of confidence in the product.”
