Job openings remained relatively stable at 7.2 million in July, down slightly from 7.4 million in June, according to the latest report from the Bureau of Labor Statistics.
Healthcare and social assistance (-181,000), arts, entertainment, and recreation (-62,000), and mining and logging (-13,000) posted decreases in job openings over the month, while construction saw a notable increase (+64,000).
