Ezayo Hopes to Shake Up the HR Job Market

New Community for Human Resource and Executive Recruiter Jobs Launches Under the Hunt-Scanlon Media Umbrella.

GREENWICH, CT – If you’ve been in the human capital space for any of the past 30 years you probably know the name Hunt-Scanlon. Partners Christopher Hunt, Scott Scanlon and their team have been interfacing daily with thousands of human capital professionals in over 160 countries — from chief talent officers, talent acquisition specialists, and a cadre of other decision makers through their news site, industry reports and events. Just recently they launched their latest endeavor, Ezayo.

The niche job site which launched last summer is already one of the largest in the global HR community – boasting over 7,000 jobs at the time of this writing. Ezayo is currently partnering with over 100 recognized global brand leaders, including Hilton, US Foods, NBCUniversal, Boston Consulting Group, AmTrust, The Nature Conservancy, Northwestern Mutual, Quest Diagnostics, Thermo Fisher Scientific, and The American Heart Association.

Even search firms are climbing on board for quick, efficient and cost effective recruiting solutions, including Korn Ferry, Odgers Berndtson, and Caldwell Partners to name a few.

I asked Scott Scanlon what the impetus was behind the decision to launch the site. “Our decision to launch a niche job board was based on where we see social platforms in general heading – and that is towards tighter and more focused communities. Ezayo’s strength lies in its ability to reach large concentrations of HR functional experts, from entry level right up into the C-suite, and to deliver candidates who are more or less off the radar of the large generalist job boards.”

As of now Ezayo consists of job postings and career news feeds, all backed by social media marketing campaigns that focus on what makes each employer brand unique. Plans are underway to power Ezayo this spring with an AI feature that will likely broaden its appeal among the 2 million job candidates that come across its job postings every 60 days. I’m told they just got inclusion into Google Job results as well. The pricing is quite reasonable at just $189 for a 60-day listing.

Finding an HR/recruiter job today is a fairly fragmented process. You’ve got sites like LinkedIn, HR.com, numerous SHRM chapter job sites and other independents in the mix. What I have to say I like most about Ezayo is its tight focus on just HR. If it’s done right, Ezayo could become the central stopping point for human capital professionals up and down the career spectrum.

When I asked how successful they have been thus far as to driving applicants and hires, they came back with this impressive testimonial: “As an independent executive search consultant, I rely on researchers for candidate identification,” said well-known C-suite recruiter Lisa Grey who recently gave Ezayo an unqualified endorsement. “A friendly rival recommended that I try Ezayo and in literally less than a day of my posting, I received immediate and surprisingly excellent candidate flow that then continued for weeks! It was a remarkable response. Everything about Ezayo – from its friendly customer service to its flexibility and reach – makes it an extraordinarily efficient matchmaking process.”

When it comes to the future of HR jobs I asked Michael Wasulko, Ezayo’s chief digital officer, where he feels the profession is headed in the next 5 to 10 years, and how AI will play a part. “I see AI as the biggest opportunity yet for job boards. AI is about to transform the job platform model as we know it. And so, for us, success lies in how rapidly we can innovate and scale Ezayo. We’re all about redefining how the modern world recruits talent. That’s our focus 24/7.”

Since Ezayo has the backing of a well-known brand with built-in traffic it should quickly become a significant player in the space. They are also hosting a few events this year in NYC to boost the brand offline as well. With hundreds of thousands of monthly visitors flocking to the site, Ezayo seems to have decisively pointed its compass due north. I don’t see much stopping this new entrant to the job board scene.

PS…Ezayo means “advantage” in the Zulu language.
