Workology Hosts Weekly Webinar Filled with Uplifting Music and Content
Austin, Texas: Workology announced the Positivity Power Hour, held weekly online via Zoom and Facebook Live each Thursday at 2pm. The Positivity Power Hour is hosted by Workology founder Jessica Miller-Merrell and features an hour filled with musicians and other guests providing uplifting content.
“Find joy and positive thoughts through life’s challenges with Workology,” is the event’s tagline.
The first artist to be featured was Savannah Red Music, an upbeat and heart-centered Austin soul singer and songwriter, followed by frontwoman Aubrey Hays. Inspired by Janis Joplin, Fiona Apple, and Regina Spektor, Hays says her music was made to heal.
Most recently featured was Ann Fry, a former psychotherapist, a leadership and transition coach, and author of Laughing Matters: The Value of Humor in the Workplace, who discussed stress and anxiety. April 16 will feature energy worker Heather Rider, The Energy Synergist, who works with high achievers with high anxiety.
According to an Axios/Ipsos Poll of more than a thousand adults in the US conducted in mid-March, 22 percent said their mental health had gotten worse with Coronavirus’ impact, and 29 percent said their emotional well-being was taking a hit. Miller-Merrell launched the Positivity Power Hour to help address the stress and anxiety many people are currently feeling.
“I started this to help support HR and business leaders and create an escape for one hour of the workday, as well as support Austin artists and businesses,” said Miller-Merrell.
The Positivity Power Hour is available weekly online. For more information on the Positivity Power Hour, visit https://www.facebook.com/workologyblog.
