Jazz Changes Name for Third Time

ATS vendor Jazz will now be called JazzHR. If you recall they started out as The Resumator. Adding HR to the company name was probably done to give it more context since just ‘Jazz’ is not very targeted.

It’s always a pain to change names from a marketing and expense perspective. Perhaps they have finally found the right brand going forward. The press release is below.

PITTSBURGH, Dec. 13, 2016 /PRNewswire/ — Jazz, the leading recruiting solutions provider for small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs), today announced its name change to JazzHR (www.jazzhr.com). The name change comes as part of a brand refresh initiative to better align the company’s name with its growth strategy and product roadmap.

“We are excited to launch our new identity as JazzHR, which we believe clearly reflects our business strategy and supports our continued growth,” said Pete Lamson, JazzHR CEO. “The addition of ‘HR’ to Jazz reflects our commitment to providing groundbreaking recruiting solutions that enable businesses to improve their performance through more effective hiring.”

Each year, thousands of SMBs and millions of candidates rely on JazzHR to achieve their recruiting and career objectives. JazzHR’s powerful recruiting platform automates all aspects of the hiring process, eliminates busywork, ensures a positive candidate experience and improves new hire performance.

Furthering the need for an expanded brand is JazzHR’s Channel Partner Program, the first-of-its-kind for SMB HR service providers. The JazzHR Channel program continues to add payroll providers, benefits brokers, HR consultants, recruiters and IT professionals seeking to expand their client relationships into the rapidly expanding HR Tech marketplace. Companies like TalentMinded, a Toronto-based talent acquisition firm, and TPD, an international HR and workforce solutions provider, are increasing their customer value propositions to include HR Tech through the JazzHR Channel Program.

The JazzHR name change is effective immediately and will be phased in across all aspects of the business and product in the upcoming months.
