Indeed Reports Increase to 31 Hires Per Minute Following AI Integration

AUSTIN, Texas — Indeed, a global hiring platform, announced on May 15, 2026, that an average of 31 hires are completed through its platform every minute based on its 2025 worldwide data. This represents an increase from the previously reported rate of 27 hires per minute.

According to the company, the change in hiring frequency coincides with ongoing investments in artificial intelligence and matching technology designed to connect employers with candidates. Indeed currently hosts more than 645 million job seeker profiles and operates with 3.3 million employers globally.

“Hiring isn’t a simple marketplace; both the job seeker and the employer have to say ‘yes,'” said Hisayuki “Deko” Idekoba, CEO of Recruit Holdings, Indeed’s parent company, during a fiscal year 2025 earnings call. Idekoba noted that the company has focused its investments on AI tools for both sides of the hiring equation to facilitate matching speed.

The platform’s software utilizes automated analysis of user skills, experience, preferences, and employer activity, moving beyond traditional resume keyword matching. Indeed has also integrated its data infrastructure with more than 350 applicant tracking systems and small business tools to monitor hiring outcomes post-application.

The data provided by the platform is based on internal tracking metrics, alongside third-party traffic verification from Comscore, which categorized Indeed as a high-volume job site by total visits in March 2026. Indeed operates in more than 60 countries and shares its ecosystem with sister platforms Glassdoor and Indeed Flex.
