Back in March I wrote that Indeed was testing out some kind of career site product. Well yesterday on their blog they made it official. It’s called ‘Career Pages‘.
Career Pages are meant for employers who don’t yet have a career page on the company website…also known as small businesses. You’d be surprised how many SMBs have nothing about careers or available jobs at their company so this new product certainly fills a void.
They are offering it for free when you post a job with them. It’s a smart move that deepens the relationship with their customer and adds another arrow for their quiver in the upcoming fight against Google.
Each career page is mobile friendly, updates automatically when you post to Indeed and more importantly is the design is totally customizable so it can maintain your branding.
These pages are not Indeed-branded. This means that although you build them on our platform, you can customize your career page with your logo and other design features so that visitors to your site don’t have the experience of being transported somewhere else when viewing your jobs.
In addition, once the page is up and running it requires no extra work from you. Indeed Career Pages are integrated with the Employer Dashboard, so when you’re posting your job listings there, they automatically appear on your site’s career page. If you edit them, they automatically update on your career page. If you delete them, they automatically disappear. And it all happens in real time.
Other large job sites and aggregators should follow suit and create more products like this for employers. As the competition increases from sites like Google and Facebook you’ll need to offer more value added services like Career Pages. Make it easier for employers to do business with you. The JobsInTheUS widget is another example of this.
