SkillStorm announced today it has launched a new service that addresses the urgent need for specialized technology talent in the U.S. commercial and federal sectors. The company will hire, train, certify and deploy more than 3,000 professionals of all levels including college graduates and veterans in the U.S. over the next three years. COVID-19 has underscored companies’ need for better technology solutions, with employers scrambling to secure the talent to fuel their projects.
With its one-of-a-kind model, SkillStorm works with company executives to understand their specific technology requirements to help them reimagine their technology talent acquisition and retention strategies. SkillStorm trains and builds complete specialized project teams, from senior-level system architects to mid- and junior-level software engineers. Members of these customized teams receive all required certifications and security clearances so they can service commercial businesses, system integrators and federal agencies. SkillStorm’s solution also offers flexible deployment options, allowing its teams to work on the client’s physical site, at a SkillStorm delivery center, from a remote location or any combination of the three.
“The need for trained, certified tech professionals is rising as the country faces massive IT worker retirements, increased cybersecurity and AI needs, a reduction in H-1B visas and a surge in remote work,” said SkillStorm’s CEO Vince Virga. “There is also a limited pipeline of computer science and IT majors graduating each year, so it’s critical to partner with universities and leverage the technical foundation created by these institutions to provide college graduates from all majors the specific “last mile” training in the most in-demand enterprise technologies. SkillStorm is uniquely positioned to holistically respond to this challenge with its hiring and training model.”
After collaborating with clients to identify their specific tech talent needs, SkillStorm recruits using a comprehensive method that taps into universities, veterans’ organizations, women and minority associations, as well as traditional recruiting resources. All new hires enter an immersive training program in the specific advanced skills required such as Pega, Salesforce, AWS, Azure, Java, Robotics and ServiceNow, while receiving the necessary industry certifications and security clearances. As the rate of technological change quickens, SkillStorm updates and evolves its training to consistently deliver the talent that clients need to stay ahead.
As part of the launch, SkillStorm unveiled its new website, reinforcing its commitment to building a next generation technology workforce for clients and accelerating career opportunities for candidates.
