A Florida aluminum manufacturer is set to build a new $120 million can factory after a unanimous vote by local elected officials this week. The Lakeland Ledger reports that the Winter Haven City Council this month approved a $3.3 million sale of 77 acres of city property to Florida Can Manufacturing LLC for a new advanced manufacturing plant originally announced late last year. The project is expected to create 160 new jobs in the city, located between Orlando and Tampa.
