There’s an un-level playing field in the war for talent today, as employers face a rising competitor: flexible work arrangements offered via the gig economy. The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics as well as workforce analysts like Ardent Partners and Staffing Industry Analysts predict that anywhere from 40-50 percent of the total workforce will be comprised of flexible labor by 2020.
