Industry pioneer, Volt co-founder Jerry Shaw passes away

Jerome (Jerry) Shaw, co-founder and executive VP emeritus at Volt Information Sciences Inc. (NYSE MKT: VISI), passed away on May 3.

Shaw and his older brother, William (Bill) Shaw, launched Volt in 1950 with just $13. The New York-based IT and engineering staffing and MSP provider now employs 20,000 people and ranks as the 16th-largest US staffing firm.
