Bloomberg reports California congressman Darrell Issa, backed by US technology companies, is pushing for the House to consider legislation that would arrow the number of eligible candidates for H-1B visas and raise the annual salary threshold for visa applicants to at least $90,000. Issa, the Republican who sponsored the H.R. 170, has been told the bill is likely to be considered by the chamber next month; it unanimously cleared the Judiciary Committee in November.
